Synopsis
New Caledonia, late 19th century, Governor Feillet announces that he wants to “close the dirty water tap” at the penitentiary and develop coffee growing in New Caledonia. Vincent and his family settled in the La Foa-Canala region to make the most of the land entrusted to them by the administration. But despite colonial expansion, ancestral taboos remain. Natives come to warn them about the “evil” aspect of part of their property.
