Synopsis

The doctors previously assigned to the island of Ouvéa took up the challenge of recording their experiences in a small notebook in the dispensary. In reading their testimonies, we discover the difficulties of practicing “in the bush”, when their Kanak patients first resort to traditional medicine that is not always compatible with modern medicine… a mode of care still practiced today.
