Synopsis
In New Caledonia, more than one in two adults (67%) and nearly one in five children aged 12 (20.5%) are overweight or obese. Despite prevention campaigns, the figures continue to rise. The documentary “Overloaded health” will address several issues: the human cost, with the many tragedies that obesity causes; the economic cost, with the repercussions on New Caledonian businesses; and the financial cost, which is undermining our already shaky healthcare system.
